I like making things that matter to people. I'm a firm believe in the idea that 'all technology is assistive technology. My favorite projects help people do something that they only imagined but always wanted: play the guitar again after an injury, learn how they sleep best with their lover, program lights displays by dancing.
I was trained as a filmmaker, but I've always been inspired by Arthur C Clark's promise that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". This brought me to ITP in 2011, where I learned code and physical computing. Together -- combining the pure creativity of code with the unrestricted possibilities of custom hardware -- is the holy grail of interactive platforms. More and more, my work involves a little of everything.
I like people, I love dancing, and I engage in my work with a devoted passion that makes me a valuable ally on collaborative projects. I'm the last kind of specialist: a true generalist. I've listed some of my skills on my resume -- you can download it below a a pdf.
I received my B.A in Film & Drama from Vassar College, and my Masters from ITP, NYU.
